Ché Hough is a sculptor and former yacht captain working from Pearly Beach, on the southern tip of Africa.

Distilled from 25 years at sea and 139,500 nautical miles of maritime observation, this practice extracts the structural forms of the ocean and rebuilds them as architectural gravity. A navigator reads unseen forces—velocity, pressure, entanglement, and law—to hold a structural heading. This work translates that reading into four distinct scales: spatial volume, functional utility, surface skin, and architectural intervention. Each hand-built piece is a spatial system designed to re-order a room’s volume, light, and silence.
